Bruce Patmos Senior/Orange Lead Coach
Coach Patmos began his coaching career at the Springfield YMCA (Ohio) in 1983, then headed to southern California in 1989 to make coaching his profession. For the next 16 years Coach Patmos ran the Canyons Aquatic Club in Santa Clarita, CA, growing the program from 90 up to over 400+ swimmers. Canyons produced over 100 swimmers that tallied over 540 National Age-Group Top-16 rankings, 51 of which were #1 National rankings, 7 were National Age-Group records. Two olympians came from this program, Anthony Ervin (2000, 2012, 2016) and Gabe Woodward (2004); and one 1996 Olympic Team alternate in the 400 IM (Jennifer Parmenter). While leading the Canyons program, Coach Patmos had 8 swimmers qualify for the Olympic Trials in 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004; produced over 30 Senior National qualifiers who earned 9 National and 18 & under National titles. In 2000, coach Patmos was a guest speaker at the ASCA World Clinic, talking about the development of Anthony Ervin from beginner swimmer to Olympic Gold medalist.

In 2005, Coach Patmos moved to Carmel, Indiana to be closer to family, running both the Washington Township Swim Team and North Central High School. North Central won the Boys State High School Championship in 2006 by one of the largest margins in State history and set numerous State records. In 2006, Coach Patmos finally made it back to Ohio and was the head coach at the Springfield YMCA. While at SPY, the program produced 3 Olympic Trial qualifiers and the most decorated female high school swimmer in Ohio High School swimming history (Margo Geer). Geer went on to be the 2013 NCAA Champion in the 50 and 100 frees for the University of Arizona. Coach Patmos was selected to be on the U.S. National Junior Team which traveled to Melbourne, Australia for international competition. During the 7 years as head coach, SPY broke numerous YMCA State and National Records as well as numerous individual National Championships. Coach Patmos helped in the development of 2016 Olympian Matthew Abeysinghe (now at OSU), who was the first Olympic swimmer for Sri Lanka.

in 2013, Coach Patmos headed south to Venice, Florida and took over the SKY Family YMCA aquatics program as Aquatics Director and head coach of 2 branches of the Sarasota Sharks which went on to win numerous YMCA National Titles. After raising numbers from 40 up to 130 swimmers, decided to split from the Sharks and form a new program, the SKY Hurricanes in 2017.During the short life of the program, was able to produce 25 YMCA National qualifiers.

Coach Patmos is an American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) level 5 coach since 1992 and was a USA Swimming National Team Coach from 1992-2010.

Jordan Gundlach White Lead Coach
Bradley Golski Green Coach
Macy Ritzenthaler AG1 Lead Coach
Coach Macy has been coaching for the Dublin Sea Dragons since January of 2022.  She is the lead coach for Age Group 1, and has previously also helped out with other groups as well.  Macy swam competitively for 12 years, including swimming for the Hilliard Ray Patch YMCA Hurricanes (2014-2019), Hilliard Bradley High School (2014-2018), and Malone University (2019-2022).  She has coached swim team and taught swim lessons since she was 15.
Outside of the pool, Coach Macy works full time and enjoys spending time with her (very large) family and friends in her spare time.  A fun fact about Macy: Coach Lynn was her swim coach throughout high school and has been her mentor ever since!

Coach Macy has loved becoming a (different) part of the sport that gave her so many opportunities and valuable life lessons.  She is thankful for the opportunity to give back and serve the swimmers and families of our team, and share her love for the sport with them!

Mollie Zook AG2 Lead Coach
Leona Bently AG2 Lead Coach
This is Coach Leona's first year coaching Sea Dragons. She swam competitively for 16 years, swimming for the Kinsale Sea Dogs for 12yrs, the LTPY Penguins for 9 years, and the Grove City College Wolverines all four years of undergrad. She has both coached and taught swim lessons for 9 years, going on 10. She was an assistant coach and lessons instructor for the Sea Dogs for 4 years while she swam with them. After graduating high school, she worked directly with Bill Wadley of The Ohio State men's swim team/Bill Wadley Swim Academy in teaching swim lessons with his Safesplash swim schools program. She taught for and managed several of his locations during the summers that she was home from college. She was also the women's head coach for the New Albany Country Club swim team for a season with Bill. Her most recent coaching job was working with Jim Peterfish in one of his extensions of his WAC program, which catered to swimmers that were without a team this past year due to the pandemic.

In her time off deck, Coach Leona works full time in the business and financing industry, and has multiple hobbies, including power/olympic lifting, painting, roller-hockey, and baking. She loves getting in the water every now and then to swim some "granny laps" which helps her remember what her swimmers are thinking and feeling throughout their training.

For those that remember Coach Daniel Ave, Coach Leona was one of his swimmers pre-Sea Dragons, and remains good friends with his family. She feels it a high honor to coach for this team and to continue his memory and legacy.

Let me know if there's anything you think I should change up or if it's too long.

Keith Sorensen Minis, AG1 and AG2, and Senior Coach
Brittney Hanks Minis Lead Coach

Coach Brittney has been around water teaching lessons for over a decade. Brittney comes from a long line of swimmers in her family. In fact, both of her brothers (Matt and Joey) and sister (Courtney) are even swimmers. It was her enjoyment in teaching her siblings how to swim which drew her into the swimming world as a coach. Coach Brittney started her coaching career with the Delaware Darts (2016-2019). It was from this experience that led her to coaching the “8 and Under Program” for the Delaware YMCA Team from 2018 -2019. She then took this experience she learned and was instrumental in the start-up of Force Aquatics (Mount Carmel) as the Junior’s Coach.

Coach Brittney has been coaching the Sea Dragons since January 2022, becoming the lead Mini Coach during the spring season of that year and loving every minute of it!
